About Panther Inspections

Panther Inspections is a home and commercial property inspection company based in Leander, Texas, serving the greater Austin area since 2013. We were founded by Collin Nowak, a TREC-licensed Professional Inspector who has personally completed more than 2,300 inspections and trained over 500 other inspectors across Texas. Every inspection includes thermal imaging, homes over 1 year old get a free WDI inspection, and you get your report before we leave.

Meet Collin Nowak

Collin started Panther Inspections in 2013 at age 26, after years in remodeling and RV repair , the kind of hands-on work that teaches you how buildings actually go together, and how they come apart.

That background shows up in the inspection. Knowing how a wall was framed, how a drain was run, or where a builder was likely to cut a corner is the difference between noting a symptom and identifying a cause. It’s also why he still designs and 3D prints some of his own inspection tools when what’s on the market doesn’t do the job.

Collin lives in Leander with his wife Lizzie and their three daughters. He’s attends Christ Church Cedar Park and networks throughout the Austin area.

Licenses and Certifications

Credentials matter in this trade, because Texas sets a floor and most inspectors stop there.

  • TREC Professional Inspector, License #20772 — the highest of Texas’s three inspector license levels
  • CCPIA Certified Commercial Property Inspector — commercial property condition assessments to the CCPIA standard
  • NAWT Certified Onsite Wastewater Inspector — septic and onsite wastewater systems
  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot — licensed for commercial drone operation, used for roof and large-building inspections

We carry many licenses and certifications, we’re fully insured, and we’ve completed hundreds of hours of continuing education. You can verify our TREC license anytime
at trec.texas.gov.

We Teach Other Inspectors

Collin has taught more than 500 licensed inspectors through continuing education courses and termite licensing training.

This is worth mentioning for one reason: teaching a subject requires understanding it well enough to defend it to a room of professionals. When we tell you a component is at the end of its service life, that assessment comes from someone who instructs other inspectors on how to make it.

What’s Included in Every Home Inspection

Most inspection companies price thermal imaging and termite inspections as add-ons. We include both as standard, because we’d rather find the moisture intrusion than sell you the tool that finds it.

Every home inspection includes:

  • Full home inspection to the TREC standard
  • Thermal imaging scans
  • Wood destroying insect (termite) inspection, when the home is 1 + year old

We also offer Foundation measurements, sewer camera inspections, pool and spa inspections, irrigation system inspections, and drone-assisted roof inspections. Our reports are sent the moment the inspection is complete, usually before we’ve pulled out of the driveway.

Where We Work

We perform residential inspections throughout the greater Austin area, including Austin, Cedar Park, Leander, Round Rock, Georgetown, Pflugerville, and Liberty Hill.

Our commercial inspection work covers the entire state of Texas. We inspect warehouses and storage facilities, restaurants and commercial kitchens, office buildings, multi-family properties, industrial buildings, churches, hotels, and retail centers.

What We Value

Our mission is simple: make regular people smarter about their homes and commercial buildings.

A report full of findings you don’t understand isn’t much use. So we walk you through what we found, what it means, what’s urgent, and what can wait. Buying a house is stressful enough without an
inspector handing you a PDF and disappearing.

We value integrity and lifelong learning. We employ between one and three inspectors at any given time, and we maintain relationships with vetted contractors and specialists for
anything that falls outside a standard inspection.
